About
New Zealand's freshwater ecosystems are globally unique, shaped by millions of years of isolation, volcanic geology, and extraordinary habitat diversity. But they are under pressure from human activity. Algal blooms, oxygen depletion, declining water clarity, and toxic cyanobacteria are warning signs that many of our lakes and rivers are under pressure. Limnotrack exists to provide the monitoring tools, data infrastructure, and ecological expertise needed to understand what is happening beneath the surface.
